Bio

Senator Shawn Still was elected to the Georgia Senate in 2022. Sen. Still currently serves Georgia's 48th Senate District, which includes portions of Fulton, Forsyth, and Gwinnett Counties. He also serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on State and Local Governmental Operations and the Secretary of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and the Environment. Additionally, he is a member of the Senate Committees on Education and Youth and Transportation. Sen. Still is the President of Olympic Pool Plastering and Shotcrete, one of the largest pool contractors in the Southeast. He prides himself on employing more than one hundred Georgians. Sen. Still was the past President of the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, being the youngest member to be inducted as a Fellow. He also owns Endless River Adventures, a global rafting, kayak, bird watching, and guided fly fishing outfitter with locations in Bryson City, NC and Borja, Ecuador. In his freshman year, Sen. Still was honored as the Freshman Legislator of the Year by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Greater Georgia. He was also proud to have received a perfect score by the Faith and Freedom Coalition. He graduated from the University of Alabama with his B.A., where he also participated in collegiate swimming and rugby. Sen. Still is honored to serve the people of his hometown, Johns Creek, as well as the great citizens of Georgia.
