Bio

Amy Binsfeld was born and raised in Sheboygan County. She grew up in Howards Grove with her parents and 3 siblings.

As a young girl, Amy watched her great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents pour their time and energy into their family business and it instilled the pride she could take in hard work. From a young age she learned that when you take responsibility for your work, it allows you to feel joy and take pride in helping others.Amy Binsfeld Amy has been a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, Sheboygan Falls, now located in Howards Grove. She graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 1995. She attended Lakeshore Technical College from 2012-2013 where she received her paralegal degree. Amy was honored to receive the Paralegal Student of the Year Award in 2013 and graduated with Presidential Honors and as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Locally, she worked at Bill's Piggly Wiggly during her school years and began her career at her family's business, Bitter Neumann Appliance Furniture Mattress, when she was 19 years old. Her focus was in working in the furniture department where she worked in many capacities from furniture sales, to sales manager, to department purchaser, and oftentimes you'd find her in the warehouse unpacking and preparing the furniture for the sales floor displays. Redesigning and actually moving the floor displays was one of her favorite parts of the job. However, it was the interaction with many great people over the years, from customers to co-workers that truly prepared Amy to want to work with and serve the Sheboygan community on the political side. She always enjoyed meeting new faces and furthering relationships with current customers and employees.

Amy married Nick at St. Paul's in July 2002. They started their life together in Sheboygan Falls, where Amy had lived prior to their marriage. Not long after, they purchased their first home and moved to Plymouth, WI. They would welcome their first child, Alyssa during those years. After a few years they moved their home and now growing family to the Town of Mosel. Their son, Logan, was born just a couple months after they settled into their new home. Amy and Nick both take great pride in hard work and continue to instill both Christian values and hardworking values in both of their children.

After serving the Sheboygan County area for more than 24 years from a private business view, she decided it was time to be a voice for others in Madison. She is humbled by the community support that she has received during her first term and looks forward to continuing to serve in the future.

Amy wants to continue her path to serve and wants to listen and learn for those around her. Please reach out to Amy at binsfeldforassembly@gmail.com to set up an in person meeting or phone call so you can share your thoughts with her.
