MOODY, Ashley Brooke, a Senator from Florida; born in Plant City, Fla., March 28, 1975; graduated Plant City High School, 1993; B.S., accounting, University of Florida; M.A., accounting, University of Florida; J.D., University of Florida College of Law, 2000; LL.M., international law, Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Fla., 2010; lawyer; adjunct professor; assistant United States attorney for the Middle District of Florida; Hillsborough County, Fla., circuit court judge, 2007-2017; attorney general of Florida, 2019-2025; appointed as a Republican to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Marco Rubio for the term ending January 3, 2029; took the oath of office on January 21, 2025.
