Bio

Ken Croken is a 21-year resident of Davenport, having moved to the city in 2003 to serve as chief marketing and government relations officer for Genesis Health System. He has two children and three grandsons. Croken is a graduate of the New England School of Law (Tufts University) in Boston and St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. In addition to his responsibilities as representative for House District 97, he also serves as adjunct faculty at St. Ambrose University His legislative focus and service to the people of Davenport centers on "middle-class" issues including jobs, education, healthcare, and social justice. Among his top priorities is ensuring a living wage for all working Iowans. In 2024 Croken led his party's effort to raise the state minimum wage to $15/hour. Croken has noted that the median household income of Davenport families is less than that in comparably sized cities of Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Sioux City. Moreover, according to Croken, Davenport has the highest rate of poverty among those same communities.
