Bio

Mike Odioso has always been called to service. As a husband, father, educator, community leader, and conservative activist, Mike has spent years giving back to our community and fighting for causes he is most passionate about.

Mike graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1981. He went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 1985 with a degree in History and the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1988, later completing a Master of Education from Mount St Joseph University in 1999.

Mike is recognized as a leading local high school educator with a deep background in law.

Through his community activism and volunteer work on many conservative causes, Mike has developed key contacts throughout Green Township, Hamilton County, the Ohio State Legislature, Governor's Office, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the Ohio Federal Congressional Delegation. Mike has also served as guardian ad litem in Hamilton County Juvenile/Dependency Courts.

Mike returned to public life after raising his daughter, Audrey Marie Odioso, who was born with developmental disabilities. Mike and his wife Leslie Odioso have broad appreciation for the gifts Audrey received from Hamilton County - Butler County Boards of DD, and the State of Ohio's Department of DD before she passed on June 5th, 2015.

Mike's immediate family includes his wife of 33 years Leslie Odioso, and his three children, Audrey (deceased), Lauren, (age 27), Lucas (age 22). Mike and Leslie currently live in Green Township.

Mike understands that creating safe, clean, and prosperous communities starts with promoting academic excellence. For 29 years, Mike has been an educator at St. Xavier High School - teaching Government, Economics, Modern World History, U.S. History, World Cultures, and American Civil War.

Throughout his time at St. Xavier, Mike served as an advisor to the Principal and President, Assistant Principal for Juniors and Seniors, Dean of Discipline, Faculty Association Officer, Freshmen Head Football Coach, and Mock Trial Moderator.

In his role as an advisor to the Principal and President, Mike pushed for an overhaul of school safety and security following the Columbine School Massacre. Wanting to make student safety a top priority, Mike has served as one of St. X.'s main liaisons with local police and fire departments.
