Bio

Hildy Angius currently represents District 2 (Bullhead City) on the Mohave County Board of Supervisors. She was first elected in 2012 and ran unopposed in 2016 and 2020.

Hildy is passionate about public service and solving problems. As our State Senator, Hildy will work with all sides - Republicans, Democrats and stakeholders - to find solutions to issues such as reducing crime, election integrity, the growing substance abuse and mental illness crisis and addressing Arizona's water issues.

As the District 2 County Supervisor, Hildy has successfully gone up against Federal Agencies, State Agencies and the State Legislature to overturn policies and laws which were harmful to Mohave County and rural Arizona. She has continually helped improve the administrative structure of Mohave County Government while never voting to raise taxes.

Angius also served as the 1st Vice Chair of the Mohave County Republican Central Committee from 2010-2014 and again from 2016-2018.

Angius graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1983 with a degree in English and Theater. Her first job was in the print promotion department at VIACOM Entertainment, Showtime/The Movie Channel in Manhattan and then onto CableView Publications after being recruited for the position of managing editor. In 1989 she became public relations manager for the CableTelevision Advertising Bureau.

After moving to San Diego in 1991, she worked as the managing editor of two peer reviewed journals and helped organize world-wide educational conferences for the Society for Computer Simulation, a non-profit scholarly society. Moving her marketing skills on to the world of technology, she became the marketing manager of LG Wireless where she oversaw a multi-million dollar advertising campaign.

In 2002 she started her own small business, an arts and crafts studio, which she sold before moving to Bullhead City in 2005.

Currently Supervisor Angius hosts a one-hour radio talk show on Cameron Broadcasting, "Live and Local in the afternoon with Hildy Angius". The show covers local events, County and City issues as well as State politics.
