Bio

Susan L. Valdes, a resident of Tampa, serves as a practice administrator. She was born on November 3, 1964, in New York City, New York, and moved to Florida in 1972. She is married to Gerardo "Gerry" Valdes, Jr., also from New York City.

Valdes was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018 and has been reelected subsequently. She is a Catholic by religious affiliation.

She is a mother to Mallory, Alexander, and Jean-Luc Valdes and a grandmother to Julisa, Alexander "AJ" Jr., Lucinda, Madison, and Aveline. In addition to her legislative service, she has been a member of the Hillsborough County Public School Board.

Her recreational interests include dance, music, reading, and theater.
