Bio

Chip LaMarca, a business owner and consultant, was born on March 16 in Winchester, Massachusetts, and moved to Florida in 1971. He holds an AA in Information Systems from Broward College and studied Business Information Systems at Florida Atlantic University.

Elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018 and reelected subsequently, LaMarca previously served as a Broward County Commissioner from 2010 to 2018, holding leadership roles in beach renourishment, public safety, and economic development initiatives. He also contributed extensively to city governance in Lighthouse Point, serving as City Commissioner, Code Enforcement Board member, and Community Enhancement Committee member.

Beyond government service, LaMarca has been actively involved in numerous organizations, including Best Buddies Broward County, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Children's Healing Institute. He has also received multiple recognitions, such as the Florida Association of Counties' Presidential Service Award and the Hospitality Ambassador of the Year Award from the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

A dedicated public servant and community advocate, LaMarca enjoys boating, fishing, playing drums, and walking along Florida's beaches.
