BioMichael Gottlieb, a criminal defense attorney based in Davie, Florida, has served in the Florida House of Representatives since 2018, having been reelected multiple times. Born in Hollywood, Florida, on November 15, 1968, he earned a BA in Political Science from George Washington University in 1990 and later obtained his JD from Nova Southeastern University in 1993.
Married to Georgia Gottlieb of New Jersey, he is a devoted father to Maya and Ethan. Outside of his professional and legislative responsibilities, he enjoys boating, fishing, running, and spending time with family.
Gottlieb has practiced criminal defense law for 25 years and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, as well as a Super Lawyers designation. His legal expertise guides his legislative work, ensuring clarity and precision in the laws he helps craft.
An active member of his community, Gottlieb and his family support numerous charitable organizations, including the South Florida Chapter of the MS Society, Debbie's Dream Foundation Curing Stomach Cancer, the Jorge Nation Foundation, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida. He is also involved with the Jewish Federation and TKAE charity events.
