Representative Carolyn Caton, a Republican, proudly represents part of Jackson County (District 33) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2024.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and residing most of her life in Blue Springs, Rep. Caton graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1984. She pursued higher education at Baker University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996 and receiving Cum Laude honors. She later attained a Master of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville in 2004.

Rep. Caton has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, including roles in less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload (TL), and logistics. Her distinguished career includes being named Terminal Manager of the Year twice for a national LTL carrier, a testament to her leadership and problem-solving skills.

Beyond her professional achievements, Rep. Caton has been a dedicated advocate for her community. While serving as a park commissioner for Blue Springs, the park commission received an award for Outstanding Park Commission for a City of Under 50k Residents. Caton was also named Volunteer of the Year by the Jackson County Republican Party. She remains actively involved in civic and faith-based initiatives, serving as an elder and board member for First Christian Church in Blue Springs, a board member for the MLK Community Event, and an avid volunteer for numerous organizations.

Rep. Caton's extensive background in transportation and logistics equips her with critical insight into the state's challenges and opportunities for growth. Coupled with her leadership in public service, she is committed to fostering responsible governance, advocating for efficient transportation policies, and strengthening the well-being of her constituents.

Rep. Caton resides in Blue Springs with her husband, Rick, and continues to serve with integrity, dedication, and a passion for making a difference.
