Bio

Representative Mark Meirath, a Republican, represents part of Clay County (District 39), including the cities of Excelsior Springs and Kearney, in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first term in November 2024.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Rep. Meirath graduated from Arch Bishop O'Hara High School before continuing his education at Northwest Missouri State University and William Jewell College.

Rep. Meirath has extensive experience in the business world, owning a successful construction company. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as a branch manager in Independence and 15 years working in lending for banks in Kansas City and Excelsior Springs.

Rep. Meirath and his wife, Becky, reside in Excelsior Springs. They have one daughter, Allie, son-in-law, Ethan Essig, and four grandchildren- Reese, Isla, June, and Issac. They are active members of Pisgah Baptist Church. His professional background and commitment to his community equip him to serve his district with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
