Elected to Nebraska Legislature- 2022 Born Jan. 8, 1954, in San Diego, Calif.

Education- Graduate of Key West High School, Key West, Fla., 1972; University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.S. in electrical engineering), 1976; Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif., 1982.

Military service- Surface warfare officer, U.S. Navy, 1976-2005.

Family- Married Mary Jo Heinen, May 14, 1976; five children- Michael, Kimberly, Valerie, Richard and Amy.

Occupation- Retired U.S. naval officer and aerospace executive Member- Knights of Columbus (Grand Knight Council, 2006-08); Bellevue Rotary Club (president, 2010-11); Nebraska Navy League; Air Force Association; USS Omaha Commissioning Committee.
