BioRobert is a native of Atlanta and has resided in the district for 7+ years. He attended school in Dekalb county and the City of Atlanta having graduated from Walter F. George High School. He graduated with a degree in business from Georgia State University and has had leadership positions including, management at Publix Supermarkets, being a small business owner and the Assistant Pastor of United In Faith Christian Ministries.
Robert is a proud father and devoted family man that understands the concerns of working citizens and the hardships of single parenting. His mother and father Dr. Robert and Diane Flournoy have instilled values within him that have allowed him to understand the importance of commitment and dedication to the community. His dedication to the community includes not only feeding those in need but also organizing events to feed numerous individuals in our state. Along with assisting small businesses thrive by providing consulting and other assistance in order to ensure that the small businesses of today continue to be successful businesses of tomorrow.
Having watched his father, Dr. Robert Flournoy, Sr., teach as a high school band director for 30 years and impacting the lives of countless students, it ignited a passion in Robert to go over and beyond for those around him and the ones that he loves. Robert truly understands that the task at hand is not about personal comfort but doing what's necessary for the benefit of others.
Robert's desire is to lead this district that covers citizens from Lovejoy, Jonesboro, Morrow, Lake City, Ellenwood and the Gresham Park area with new innovative ideas that do not allows include budgetary allocations, a new approach to handling our day to day issues and a new passion for people and the well being of others.
