BioI have been a resident of McDonough for 23 years. I come from a family of hardworking immigrant parents who own a small business in our community. I am honored to have graduated from Henry County High School. Due to my tenacious spirit, I managed to juggle full-time work and night classes as a single parent, becoming a first-generation student. I earned my bachelor's in Criminal Justice Leadership from Mercer University and my masters in Public Administration from Clayton State University.
As a proud Latina and woman of color, I dedicate my time to empowering marginalized communities through mentorship programs, fellowships, and non-profit work across metro Atlanta.
My personal resilience as a survivor of domestic violence paired with my 18 years in public service, make me a compassionate and strong leader.
Beyond my professional life, my greatest joy comes from being a mother to two amazing children, expressing my creativity as an artist, and attending T.O.P. Church.
