Bio

State Representative Randal Mangham, Democrat from the 94 th House District of Georgia, which includes DeKalb and Rockdale counties was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2000. He serves on the Children & Youth, Judiciary Non-Civil and Public Utilities & Telecommunications Committees. He is a native of Georgia and is married to the former Andrea Bowen, and has 2 children. Randal Mangham received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Cum Laude in 1980 from the Howard University School of Law, Washington, D. C., and his Bachelors of Arts in 1977 from Howard University School of Communications. He received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in 1991 from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He also matriculated from Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta and Harvard University John F Kennedy School of Government in Massachusetts. Mr. Mangham has been in the private practice of law since 1980, specializing in the areas of personal injury, business and civil litigation. He is distinguished in the area of voting rights litigation and medical negligence. He has served from 1987 to present as President of the Metropolitan Management Corporation, a communications and broadcasting company. He served as City Attorney/City Judge of the City of Greenville, Georgia from 1990 to 1992. He was also a partner in the law firm of Kendall, Mangham, Kendall and Hurst from 1981 to 1985.

He has served on numerous community boards and memberships, including State Bar of Georgia, 1980; Past President and Board Member of the Gate City Bar Association; Founding Board Member, Georgia Association of African American Attorneys (GAAAA); Board Member of the South DeKalb Community Development Corporation; Past Board Member of Reaching Out to Senior Adults (ROSA); former District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America, and former member Board of Directors of the YMCA. In addition to these, Rep. Mangham has a host of other affiliations and has received numerous awards.
