to join GSACA.

TACT: Technical Assistance, Consultation
and Training. GSACA sponsors DHR certified, competency-based training.
Members receive
training discounts, telephone consultation,
and free technical assistance by appointment only.
Professional Development
Forums, PDF. GSACA hosts forums on topics of interest for
school-age care providers. Forums are free to members
and include such
topics as Summer planning and Creative Leadership. Current
Projects.
The
Lending Library. The library contains information on current
research, regulations, health and safety, news from other states and
information on working with elementary and middle school-agers. It
includes school-age and childcare
perodicals and more than 1,000 holdings. Library hours:
9:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday
GSACA School Age Care! Newsletter.
Members receive the newsletter two times during the membership year.
The
Randy Taylor Resource Room. The Resource Room gives members access
to theme kits, activity guides, recycling area, laminator, button maker
and technical
assistance files.
SAC FAX. Members receive the SAC FAX which provedes updates
to members on issues related to legislation, funding and training.
Curriculum
Development. The 3:00 Project Curriculum is an example of
our innovative development in the field for middle-school aged youth.
National AfterSchool
Association. GSACA members receive membership in NAA which
includes a national newsletter and discounted registration fees for
the
nation school age conference. Link

Local, state and federal advocacy. GSACA
supports state and federal legislation that is favorable to school-age
children, youth and their families.
Research. GSACA provides statistics
and research on school-age care. "How
