The mission of the Heartland Academy Psychoeducational Program is to provide comprehensive, community-based services to students with severe emotional/behavioral disorders and students with autism. As part of the local school system's continuum of services, Heartland Academy, through a collaborative approach with parents, community service providers, and educational professionals utilize resource networking and a team approach with the focus of providing a comprehensive therapeutically based educational program. The intent of such services is to make available any array of resources that facilitate the social/emotional well-being and educational progress of students and empower students to become productive and contributing members of society.
