Heart of Georgia RESA’s WIA provides economically disadvantaged youth/adults and dislocated workers with individualized opportunities to acquire the necessary skills to build their future through education, career planning, career development and career placement

Programs available:
Individual Training Accounts (ITA)
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Trade Adjustment Act (TAA)
Youth Services

Program may assist eligible customers with:
Tuition ~ Books ~ Supplies ~ Uniforms ~ Childcare ~ Transportation 
Job Search Assistance ~ Case Management
Paid Work Experience for Youth

Service Area:
Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery (youth only), Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler and Wilcox

Eligibility Requirements:
(WIA is not an entitlement program and the following is a partial listing of consideration requirements:)

• Youth – ages 14 – 21
• In-School and Out-of-School
• Low-Income (LLSL)
• Laid off or unemployed
• Registered with GDOL
• Reside in service area
• Registered with Selective Service (Males only)
• ITA Program: 
• Enrolled in technical college, college or university in an approved program of study
• GPA 2.5 or higher
• Full-time student (12 credit hours or more)
